MIKE PAVASOVIC has been reporting on non-league football for more than 35 years. He was sports editor for the Ashton-under-Lyne Reporter Group from 1987 to 99, non-league reporter for BBC Radio Manchester from 1995 to 2010, and senior sports reporter for Tameside Radio from 2008 to 14. Mike covered Oldham Athletic matches for the BBC in the late 1990s. Nowadays, as well as online work he covers non-league football in Tameside (east of Manchester) and Glossop for his website — pavspatch.co.uk — and his blog pavspatch.tumblr.com Mike writes regular columns about Ashton United, Curzon Ashton, Droylsden, Glossop North End, Hyde United, Mossley and Stalybridge Celtic. Mike has a 40-year association with Hyde where he is press officer and match announcer. He has compiled a four-volume history of the Northern Premier League club and recently completed a humorous look-back at his days as a sports reporter called “Where Did it All Go Wrong?”.
