Jean-Clair Todibo, the 24-year-old French defender from Nice, is at the center of a transfer battle, with Manchester United emerging as the frontrunner. Premier League clubs, Chelsea and Tottenham are reportedly in the race to sign him.

Playing as a centre-back for Ligue 1 club Nice and the France national team, Todibo’s career began at Toulouse in 2016, from FC Les Lilas. Todibo made his Ligue 1 debut on August 19, 2018, and has since experienced an up-and-down career trajectory, including a move to Barcelona in January 2019 and subsequent loans to Schalke 04 and Benfica. In February 2021, he joined Nice on loan, which turned into a permanent move in June 2021. With a height of 1.90 m, he has shown remarkable skill and potential on the field and has the right attributes to succeed in the Premier League.

Journalist Rudy Galetti reports that Manchester United is in a strong position to secure Todibo, with Nice open to a transfer deal around £52m. This potential move would add to United’s defensive strength, capitalizing on Todibo’s experience from his time at Toulouse, Barcelona, Schalke 04, Benfica, and Nice.
