Football Italia who cite Das Bild as their source have reported that Italian side Sampdoria have shown interest in signing the US international. 90min have gone further and reported that Dutch club Ajax’s representatives have in fact made contact with Pepi’s representatives. They also report that multiple clubs across Europe including two from England are actively looking at Pepi.

After the successes of Christian Pulisic, Weston Mckenie, Reyna and many more North American players in European League recently, clubs in Europe are closely looking at MLS to sign the next big superstar. North America is still a growing market for football and European clubs are actively trying to build a base there and a easy way to attract new fans is to sign local players.
