Generally football fans all around the world hate the international break as the quality of football drops considerably and many fans are just not invested with their international team. But this international break has given many fans much to worry with a string of injuries. City fans must be cursing their luck as Sergio Aguero was injured while playing for Argentina and now is set for the sidelines for quite sometime.
Manchester United on the other hand have been dealt a serious blow just after their 3-0 humiliation against Arsenal. Wayne Rooney, Michael Carrick and Bastian Schweinsteiger all are currently injured and will play no part for their national team. Among the three, Rooney and Schweinsteiger are out of form especially the former who has looked completely lost on the football pitch from the beginning of the season. The German on the other hand was completly exposed in the game against Arsenal and there have been rumours of favoritism from Van Gaal with regards to the German captain. Rooney certainly has managed to hold on to his spot only because of his position as the captain of the club.
Now with the trip to Everton looming up maybe it’s a blessing in disguise that Wayne Rooney and Bastian Schweinstegier mostly won’t be available for selection.
