Anthony Martial, the 28-year-old Manchester United forward, has been offered an escape route from Old Trafford by Turkish club Fenerbahçe. With his contract entering its final six months, Martial is free to engage with clubs overseas. Despite a fluctuating career at United since his arrival in 2015, scoring 90 goals in 317 appearances, his recent form has been less impressive. According to the English outlet, The Sun,  Fenerbahçe has proposed an initial offer of £6.8m to secure his transfer this month, hoping their positive relations with Manchester United will facilitate a favorable deal.

Martial’s career at Manchester United has been marked by highs and lows since his arrival from Monaco in 2015. Despite showing early promise and accumulating a total of 90 goals in 317 appearances, his performance has been inconsistent. A loan spell to Sevilla in 2020/21 was underwhelming, with only one goal in 12 games. Back at United, he managed nine goals in 29 appearances last season, but this term, he has scored just two goals in 19 matches.

Martial’s journey at Manchester United, once marked by promise, has turned into a tale of unfulfilled potential. The inconsistency in his performances has been a key factor in his struggle to establish himself as a mainstay in the team. Fenerbahçe’s bid presents an opportunity for Martial to rediscover his form in a new environment, potentially revitalizing his career.
