According to the English outlet, The Mirror, Arsenal are interested in signing Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin next summer. With  Everton in perpetual poor form which is continuing under current manager Rafael Benitez, Calvert-Lewin might push for a move to a club like Arsenal if the London club are actually interested. Currently, Arsenal have two strikers in Alexander Lacazette and Aubameyang but Lacazette’s contract is expiring in the summer and Aubameyang’s poor form has continued for a while and is hurting Arsenal’s goal-scoring capability.

Calvert-Lewin is not a typical Arsenal striker, but he has the attributes and the experience in the Premier League to make a difference with this young Arsenal squad. Playing ahead of a set of young, dynamic and fluid attackers like Saka, Martinelli Smith-Rowe and Odegaard, Calvert-Levin can be the focal point of the Arsenal attack. The rest of the attackers can be more dynamic and fluid, swapping positions with each other but at the same time having a strong finisher in the box to aim at.

Everton will surely try to hold on to their star man and Arsenal might have to pay over the odds for him but if Arteta is determined to sign him then this is a transfer likely to happen.
