The FA Cup final remained 0-0 at halftime as the team headed down into the tunnel at Wembley. Marouane Fellaini had a couple of chances for United and Palace had a few threatening counters in the first half. Other than that, it was a familiar feeling for United fans who have seen the halftime score of 0-0 many a time this season. Mark Clattenburg had a poor half, blowing the whistle instead of playing the advantage when Palace were on the counter a couple of times. Also there was a penalty appeal against Wayne Rooney who clumsily tackled former Manchester United man Zaha after Daley Blind made a mistake.

Mark Clattenburg woke up this morning, found the page in his dictionary with 'advantage' in it, ripped it out and wiped his arse with it.

Even though Van Gaal is most likely to be sacked irrespective of the result, the Dutchman will like to go out on a high. Winning the FA Cup will give him his first trophy at Manchester United. On the other hand, Pardew is looking for revenge as Crystal Palace lost the 1990 FA Cup final against Manchester United when Pardew himself was a player.
