Done Deal! Man United set to complete 4th transfer of the summer

17 year old Polish Goalkeeper Kacper Chorazka who currently is with Wisla Krakow is set to sign for Manchester United according to The Sun. Kacper was invited for a trial by the Scottish club Ranger and had impressed everyone at the trial. But later Manchester United’s interest has convinced the Polish stopper to sign for the English giants instead.

Kacper Chorazka’s father said,

“Kacper went to Rangers on trial and I know their goalkeeping coach Jim Stewart liked him.

“Spurs, Liverpool and clubs in Italy and Germany were interested too.

“But when you get an offer from a club like Manchester United, you cannot say no.

“If the clubs reach an agreement then great, but the priority is to develop him as a keeper.”

Manchester United have already completed the signings of Tahith Chong, Lee O’Connor and Nishan Burkart. All the  signings are youth players and this is line with United’s intention of keeping pace with Manchester City and Chelsea youth teams. Both City and Chelsea have invested heavily in youth and City especially with a world class academy have become the most preferred destination for talented youngsters in England. Even Robin Van Persie and Philip Neville have opted to send their kids to the Manchester City academy rather than United’s academy. City aim to build a model like Barcelona and with the appointment of Pep Guardiola they are a step closer to their target. But still City struggle to bring youth players into the first team unlike Manchester United. United have a great history of giving chances to the youth and Van Gaal has continued it.

United have been active in scouting out some of the best youngsters in the continent but their senior transfers have been poor after Ferguson has left. Van Gaal’s position and whether he will continue  next season or not is still unclear and this will lead to a lot of confusion regarding the transfers. Woodward must decide now whether to allow Van Gaal to have a say in the transfer or wait till the new manager comes in. Mourinho the favorite to replace Van Gaal has been contacted by PSG and United are in serious danger of losing the chance to sign one of the best managers in the world.
