Manchester United played easily their best football on Tuesday night in their demolition of Stoke City. With Juan Mata in the number 10 role, it looks like Van Gaal has found the right combination just by pure luck once again. Even last year when Manchester United went on a good run beating the likes of Liverpool, City and Spurs, Van Gaal was forced to drop Di Maria and Falcao due to injuries and he had no option other than to play Herrera who helped United in all those victories.
Manchester United captain Wayne Rooney will again be expected to lead the attack against Chelsea. Rooney is in good form having scored 7 out of his last 7 games along with 2 assists. His confidence is back which has helped his finishing a lot. This is good news for Roy Hodgson who now has a problem which every other manager will wish to have. With Rooney back in form, Roy has to select one amongst Rooney, Kane and Vardy. The latter two are in great form and Vardy just might be the fairytale story England need to win the Euro 2016.
