4 players Jose Mourinho should buy in January

Chelsea has endured one of their worst ever starts and certainly Mourinho’s worst ever start in his career. They look knackered, completely out of form and even their most reliable performers like Hazard and Terry have looked off colour. Mourinho urgently needs to stop this rut atleast until January when he can and surely will call for new signings.

Mats Hummels

Chelsea urgently need a solid CB to start alongside either Zouma or Cahill as Terry’s time looks to be over. Hummels after a lot of injuries has returned to his best this year and as Dortmund aren’t in the Champions League and with the Bundesliga almost over with Bayern looking unstoppable it shouldn’t take much to convince the German.

Paul Pogba

Another big area of concern is midfield where both Nemanja Matic and Cesc Fabregas look off colour. Pogba has the skills to play both the roles to perfection. But whether Juventus are ready to let him go and for what price is a question which nobody can answer at the moment.

Antoine Griezmann

The 24 year old Frenchman has been impressive for Atletico for quite sometime now. A move to Chelsea will interest Griezmann provided Chelsea are in a comfortable position in the table by then.

Mauro Icardi

Chelsea’s strikers this season have flopped miserably. Diego Costa has looked out of sorts with his best performance coming against Arsenal when he was involved in sending off of Gabriel. The less said about Falcao the better and Remy has never had the confidence of Mourinho to get an extended run in the team. Icardi is young and has got bags of ability, Chelsea will do well to get him to London.
