Zinedine Zidane has asked Real Madrid president Florentino Perez to bid for Chelsea superstar Eden Hazard according to a report in the Express. Hazard has himself expressed his desire to work under Zidane many times in the past and with Chelsea missing out on the Champions League this season, the Belgian might finally leave Stamford Bridge after years of speculation.

Although Real Madrid are in the Champions League and have a chance to win the trophy for a third consecutive year, Zidane surely recognises that the team have been disappointing in the league and need investment in the summer. They need to sign a backup for the aging Ronaldo and decide whether to continue with Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema who have played their part this season but have been disappointing overall. Bale especially has been an underwhelming transfer for Real because of his injury record.

Real have also been linked to Liverpool star Mo Salah and PSG star Neymar but Zidane reportedly wants Eden Hazard. Also the Belgian might be the easiest to sign and also the cheapest.
