Manchester United have entered the race to sign Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez after they made a bid for around £25m according to the Guardian. Henrikh Mkhitaryan also has been reportedly offered to Arsenal, although the Armenian’s valuation is not clear. Manchester City were the frontrunners in the race to sign the Chilean so far and there were no reports of United being interested. This bid will come as a surprise to many fans but Jose Mourinho is reportedly confident of signing the Chilean ahead of Manchester City.

Jose Mourinho already has Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford who have played for United on the left this season. Sanchez generally either starts on the left or plays as a False 9 for Arsenal. So Sanchez moving to United might force Martial to look for a move elsewhere as his first team opportunities will drastically reduce.

Arsenal on the other hand are interested in signing the Bordeaux winger, Malcolm although they are still being linked to Thomas Lemar. It remains to be seen whether Wenger would be interested in taking Henrikh Mkhitaryan to the Emirates. The Armenian has struggled with the pace and intensity of the Premier League and it would be a big gamble for Arsenal if they sign him.
