According to various reports, Kylian Mbappe is set to sign for Real Madrid in a world record €180m deal from Monaco. Real already have a plethora of attacking players in Ronaldo, Benzema, Bale, Asensio, Isco, Lucas, etc. So both financially and for the squad balance, Real need to offload one of their attacking stars if the Mbappe deal comes through this summer. The Metro already is reporting that Real Madrid will sell Bale to fund the Mbappe move and Manchester United who both have the money and the need for a winger seem to be the perfect destination.
Although Gareth Bale has seemed happy at Madrid and has not shown any interest in coming back to the Premier League, the arrival of Mbappe might change things. It is clear that if Mbappe completes his transfer to Real, he would be straightway playing in the first team. With Ronaldo and Benzema occupying the other two attacking positions in the team this leaves Bale on the bench. So Manchester United have a real chance of landing Gareth Bale this summer. Mourinho clearly wants a left winger this window and there are not many better than Bale in that position.
