According to the Daily Star, Manchester United have completed the signings of Tahith Chong, Lee O’Connor, Nishan Burkart and  Kacper Chorazka. All the four signings are youth players and this is line with United’s intention of keeping pace with Manchester City and Chelsea youth teams. Both City and Chelsea have invested heavily in youth and City especially with a world class academy have become the most preferred destination for talented youngsters in England. Manchester United in a bid to revitalize their academy appointed Nicky Butt as the head. Butt himself came through the youth ranks at Man United and later went on to win the treble in 1999.

United have been active in scouting out some of the best youngsters in the continent but their senior transfers have been poor after Ferguson has left. Van Gaal’s position and whether he will continue  next season or not is still unclear and this will lead to a lot of confusion regarding the transfers. Woodward must decide now whether to allow Van Gaal to have a say in the transfer or wait till the new manager comes in. Mourinho the favorite to replace Van Gaal has been contacted by PSG and United are in serious danger of losing the chance to sign one of the best managers in the world.
