Louis Van Gaal after the victory against Swansea is confident that he will remain as the United manager at least till the end of the season. The primary objective for him now would be for United to qualify for the Champions League next season. With the current squad, Van Gaal has his task cut out as the squad is highly unbalanced and lacking in certain areas. Left Back, Winger and Center Back are just some of the problem areas for the Dutchman as he seeks out Ed Woodward to sign new players in the January transfer window.
Gareth Bale
A superstar signing which even Ed Woodward has been trying to make for quite sometime now. Bale is quick, direct and powerful,a perfect example of what Van Gaal wants in a player. Althought Zidane’s appointment at Real Madrid means that this move is unlikely to happen this January, there is still a remote possibility that the Welshman will return to the Premier League.
Chance of Happening- 1/10
Lucas Moura
Another player who is quick and can beat player at his will and United certainly need someone of his type.
Chance of Happening- 4/10
Sadio Mane
This Southampton player was already an LVG target, but United missed out on him during the summer. He is the likeliest to come to United but there is interest from other top clubs around Europe.
Chance of Happening- 7/10
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang
The Dortmund forward has been in scintillating form this season and his pace and trickery is something United fans will love to see at Old Trafford. If United are willing spend big and go the extra distance, this is a transfer which could happen.
