Alexis Sanchez’s contract will run out in the summer of 2018 and unless the Chilean has a dramatic change of mind, he won’t be signing an extension. As soon as the January transfer window opens, it will be interesting to see whether Manchester City rekindle their interest in Sanchez and make an offer. Arsenal might choose to sell their star man in January rather than letting him go for free in the summer although they would prefer to sell him abroad. Let’s take a look at few of the player across Europe who can fill Sanchez’s shoes if Arsenal manage to bring them to the Emirates.

Nabil Fekir

Nabil Fekir has been in stunning form this season and has already scored 11 goals in the league. Arsenal signed his former teammate Alexander Lacazette from Lyon for a club record transfer fee this summer and they might be forced to break that record if they want to prise Fekir away from Lyon.

Yannick Carrasco

Yannick Carrasco’s relationship with his club Atletico Madrid has detiorated in the recent past after the player requested to go back to Belgium to recover from his injury which Atletico declined. Atletico’s poor start to the season certainly has not helped Carrasco’s form but the Beligian is quick, skillful and young which means that he will fit in perfectly with Arsenal.

Arda Turan

Going for Turan in January will be a gamble, but there are reports that Arsenal are interested in signing the Turkish winger from Barcelona. Turan has not played at the highest level for a long time now after being frozen out of Barcelona’s first team.

Lorenzo Insigne

Maurizio Sarri’s Napoli have delighted the footballing world with their thrilling style of attacking football. Insigne who plays on the left side of their 3 man attack is an integral part of the team. Arsenal definitely would have to fend of competition from Europe’s top clubs if they have to sign the Italian.
