On the other hand, Newcastle United are aiming to win their first major trophy since 1969 and end their 54-year wait for silverware.

Erik ten Hag faces a dilemma over Marcus Rashford’s fitness ahead of Manchester United’s League Cup final against Newcastle United on Sunday. The forward picked up an ankle injury in the Europa League win over Barcelona and his availability is uncertain. Donny van de Beek (knee), Christian Eriksen (ankle), and Anthony Martial (hip) are also ruled out. If Rashford misses out, Wout Weghorst will come in as the main striker.
Bruno Fernandes will be the playmaker behind Rashford as usual. He was very effective on the right in recent games swapping positions with Sancho but with Antony coming back from injury, Fernandes will play as the number 10. Fred and Casemiro will partner in midfield again after their impressive performances lately. Fred’s runs from deep will add an extra dimension to United’s game. The back four is likely to remain unchanged, with Raphael Varane, Lisandro Martinez, Luke Shaw, and Wan-Bissaka. David de Gea will be in goal.
