Manchester United have completed the loan signing of Bayern Munich midfielder Marcel Sabitzer until the end of the season. This move was forced upon on United after the injury to Eriksen which ruled the Danish midfielder out till April end. With Eriksen out, United’s midfield options become very limited with both Donny van de Beek and Scott Mctominay also injured, so signing Sabitzer on loan made perfect sense for United.

He is a hardworking player, known for his work rate and defensive contribution, which makes him a valuable asset for his team, especially in the deeper midfield role alongside Casemiro.

Sabitzer’s comfort with both feet enhances Manchester United’s ball distribution, enabling them to maintain possession. He possesses the skill to advance the ball forward quickly and is efficient in protecting the space by disrupting passing lanes with his cover shadow. Compared to Eriksen, Sabitzer operates in a higher position on the field and possesses greater speed, allowing him to efficiently defend by tracking back. He is not afraid of physical challenges, and has the capability to secure the ball in tight midfield situations even under pressure.
