English outlet, Manchester Evening News have reported that PSG are interested in Manchester United’s forward, Anthony Martial as a replacement for Kylian Mbappe. Mbappe’s contract is set to expire this summer and so far they have been no signs of a contract extension. The report cites French outlet RMC Sport as the source of this transfer rumour.

Martial’s agent had come out and claimed that his client wants to leave United in January because of a lack of playing time. With Cristiano Ronaldo, Marcus Rashford, Mason Greenwood and Edison Cavani already at the club, Martial’s departure will not impact Rangnick’s plans this season. The 4-2-2-2 which Rangnick has employed so far in his time at United allows for 2 forwards and United have at least 4 forward at the moment excluding Martial. For the hybrid number 10/winger role, the Frenchman wouldn’t be a good fit as the role needs a high work rate and also the ability to play as a number 10 which Martial has never played. So if PSG do come in with a good offer, Manchester United should look to let Martial go.
