USA face off against Mexico in a highly anticipated World Cup qualifying game in Cincinnati on Friday. After a hard fought win against Costa Rica in the previous round, USA have the chance to tie Mexico at the top of the table if they win the game against their biggest rivals. Mexico haven’t been in great form and will be seeking to avenge their losses in the Gold Cup and in the Nations League.

USA Predicted 4-3-3 formation against Mexico

Unfortunately, Chelsea star Christian Pulisic will not be starting this game as confirmed by Berhalter. USA will also be missing Gio Reyna and Sergino Dest due to injuries. This would mean that Berhalter has to somehow manage to get his team playing well without their three most creative players. Pulisic will be on the bench, so would be an option for the USA late in the game. With a 4-3-3 formation, Berhalter can provide cover for the back 4 and also support the attack well when in possession.
