Jurgen Klopp has to deal with significant injury troubles for the weekend Premier League game against Arsenal as 7 regular starters could miss out. The international break only added to Liverpool’s injury woes with Jordan Henderson, Sadio Mane and Andy Robertson all picking up knocks while playing for their national sides. But Klopp confirmed that Mane will be available for selection against Arsenal and there is hope that Henderson and Robertson might be fit for the game against Arsenal. If not, they will join the 5 players already on the injury list for Liverpool.
Naby Keita, James Milner, Joe Gomez, Roberto Firmino and Curtis Jones are all injured and won’t be fit for the Arsenal game. This means that Klopp has to tweak how his team plays especially in midfield but we expect him to still opt to play with the 4-3-3 formation.
Liverpool’s 4-3-3 formation & lineup against Arsenal
Liverpool’s midfield will certainly miss Jordan Henderson as both Thiago and Oxlade-Chamberlain are more attack minded players and Arsenal will look to exploit this on the counter. There have been some concerns on Oxlade-Chamberlain’s ability to adjust to the right sided midfield role but Klopp doesn’t have any other option for that role at the moment.
