David de Gea: 2/10 – De Gea has been United’s best performer this season along with Cristiano Ronaldo but had a poor game against Atalanta. He should have stopped the first goal easily and for the second goal he didn’t come off his line quickly to stop Zapata from scoring.

Eric Bailly: 7/10 – Looking at Bailly’s performance tonight, you wonder why has he not gotten a chance this season to play for United. His pace and his tackling bailed out United multiple times during the game. Gets only a 7 because he let go Zapata run behind him for the second goal although it can also be blamed on Maguire failing to maintain the offside trap.

Raphael Varane: 5/10 – Didn’t have much to do when he was on the pitch but was unfortunately injured and might be a doubt for the City game.

Harry Maguire: 4/10 – Another poor performance from United’s captain. It looked like Atalanta specifically pressed him hard and the England center back struggled throughout the match.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka: 5/10 – Same problem as usual with Wan-Bissaka. He is decent defensively but is not good enough in the final third.

Scott McTominay: 4/10 – Another game where McTominay struggled to get control in the center of the pitch. Didn’t get much help though from Pogba.

Paul Pogba: 1/10 – A genuine 1/10 performance if ever there was one. Pogba looked out of touch throughout the match. The fact that Solskjaer chose to substitute him off instead of McTominay who was in danger of getting a second yellow speaks volumes.

Luke Shaw  6/10 – Was decent both defensively and in attack. But his crosses and set pieces were not on target today.

Bruno Fernandes 7/10 – Provided a world class assist for Ronaldo’s first goal and tried his best to drive United forward. Was marked out of the game in the second half.

Cristiano Ronaldo 10/10- The only reason United are still alive in the Champions League is because of this man. Worked hard throughout the game and scored both the goals. The second goal especially was something very few players can score. A perfect shot into the corner from a nothing chance in injury time sealed a 10/10 performance from Ronaldo.

Marcus Rashford 5/10- Struggled to get into the game and will probably be dropped for Cavani for the Manchester derby.

Mason Greenwood(Sub) 6/10– Was involved in both the goals but overall quite a muted performance. Didn’t try out any long shots like he usually does.
