After the sacking of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Manchester United are reportedly interested in Mauricio Pochettino as the next manager. Even though he still has a contract with PSG, some reports are indicating that he is not happy there. But looking at all the characteristics of Pochettino as a manager, he looks like the perfect fit for United on paper.

Attacking Football

Mauricio Pochettino at Spurs wanted his team to press hard and play on the front foot. Irrespective of who the opponent is, Spurs went into games trying to win the ball high and play with a high tempo. This type of football has proved the most successful style in recent times as both Manchester City and Liverpool press hard and play possession oriented football. It might take time to instill this at United but Pochettino will be able to do it.

Trust in Youth

Pochettino is someone who always monitors the youth teams and fast tracks any young player who he thinks has potential. This is something he has done from his days at Espanyol and continued at Southampton and Spurs. At PSG, with the squad at his disposal, it’s more difficult to give chances to young players. But at United, where there always has been a tradition to give chances to young players, Pochettino will fit right in.

  1. Mauricio Pochettino according to me is one of the best football managers in the world, however, a team like Manchester United to me will be the perfect fit for Mauricio Pochettino. Manchester United as a club needs a coach who believes in himself and have belief in the players he has and ready to instill what is lacking in the team so for the weak of Manchester United, the team needs a coach in the name of Erik Ten Hag a coach who plays attractive and pressing game that makes everyone enjoys the game but Ten Hag fails, Laurent Blanc or Luis Enrique would be the best to manage the club and lead the club to its dream success or restore the glory days back
