Zinedine Zidane quit Real Madrid after a row with Real Madrid president Florentino Perez over the transfers of Eden Hazard and David De Gea. Zidane wanted to sign Chelsea star, Eden Hazard but Perez said no. On the other hand, Perez wanted to sign United star, David De Gea but Zidane insisted that they stick with Keylor Navas according to The Sun. Zidane quit Real Madrid after guiding them to an unprecedented third Champions League victory in a row after a victory against Liverpool.

The fact that even after so much success Zidane’s hands are tied when it comes to transfer might have forced him to make his decision. Now that Real Madrid are looking for a new coach, Perez will have a free hand this summer to pursue players of his choice which includes Manchester United’s David De Gea. De Gea has been United’s best player for the past 4 years and although he is one of the highest paid goalkeepers in the world, the lack of success at Old Trafford even since Sir Alex Ferguson left surely will be on his mind. A return to Spain with the reigning European champions might be too tempting a deal for the Spaniard.
