According to a report in the Express, Barcelona are keen on signing Liverpool superstar Mohamed Salah if they are unable to sign Atletico Madrid forward, Antoine Griezmann this summer. Liverpool insist that the Egyptian is not for sale but Jurgen Klopp has reportedly identified Barcelona’s Ousmane Dembele as a potential replacement if Salah does leave. Liverpool would want a Coutinho like situation to repeat itself with Salah. The report also states that Real Madrid too are interested in the Egyptian but after the Champions League final they feel that their chances of buying Salah are minimal.
If Barcelona were to sign Salah from Liverpool, it is highly likely that they will have to offload some of their stars to balance the budget. Having splashed on big money deals on Coutinho and Dembele, Barcelona are also looking at a midfielder to replace Andres Iniesta. If Salah manages to have a decent World Cup, then Barcelona might have to pay a fee close to what they received for Neymar to Liverpool to sign the Egyptian.
