Barcelona have been handed a major boost in their pursuit of Christian Eriksen as a report in the Express claims that the Danish play maker is ready to force a transfer move this summer to the Camp Nou. Eriksen reportedly views this as an once in a lifetime opportunity so is ready to push Tottenham into selling him. Daniel Levy, Tottenham’s chairman is notoriously hard to deal with and Barcelona will need all the help in the world if they are to get a player like Eriksen from Levy.

Barcelona have been linked with numerous midfielders across Europe including Thiago and Miralem Pjanic as they seek a replacement for Andres Iniesta. Some reports have claimed that Lionel Messi prefers Pjanic of Juventus to be Iniesta’s replacement. Both Pjanic and Thiago play in a much deeper role than Eriksen but the Dane has shown at times that he can be versatile. Mauricio Pochettino has used him in variety of roles including in central midfield where Eriksen has excelled because of his excellent work rate despite his smaller physical frame.
