Manchester United legend, Teddy Sheringham has urged Marcus Rashford to consider his future at Old Trafford as he believes that a young talented player like Rashford, he should be playing regularly every week. Sheringham who played a key role in United’s treble winning season including scoring in the Champions League final was speaking to Sky Sports when he talked about Marcus Rashford.

‘He needs to learn what he can get away with on a football pitch, what he can do, what he can’t do.

‘You don’t learn that by watching other people play.

‘I don’t care how good the players are, it’s all about experience, it’s about making mistakes along the way and coming up against these players week-in, week-out and knowing how to prepare to play next season and the season after that.

‘But if you don’t get the experience, you don’t get the chance. All you do is sit and watch and you make mistakes later in life.

‘He needs to learn now, he’s an unbelievable talent for me, and he needs to be playing in a first team somewhere.’

Marcus Rashford has been in and out of the first team this season but has not started regularly for the first team. Jose Mourinho is not someone who gives many chances to youngsters so Teddy Sheringham might have a point when he says that Rashford needs to look away from Old Trafford to further progress his career. But as a local boy, who has come up through the ranks at Old Trafford, Rashford and the United fans do share a special connection. So, a loan move might be perfect for all the parties concerned. But Mourinho earlier had said that Rashford is an integral part of his first team and he won’t be leaving on loan.
