Barcelona have made contact with Rodrygo Goes’ father who is also his agent in an attempt to sign the Brazillian teenage according to Spanish outlet Sport. Rodrygo has been dubbed the new Neymar as he to plays for Santos as a winger. Barcelona have made it a priority to sign the Brazilian as their scouts and representative in South America think that the teenage winger has the potential to become a world class star.
Rodrygo has a contract with Santos till 2022 and has a release clause worth 50 millions Euros. But even if he signs for Barcelona at that price, he won’t be the most expensive teenager as that honour stays with Vinicus Junior who was bought by Real Madrid from Flamengo for 61m Euros. As transfer fees and wages have inflated massively over the past few years, clubs are willing to take bigger and bigger risks on young players as the price of buying star players in their prime has reached exorbitant levels.
