There has been some bad news for Man United fans ahead of their fixture against Liverpool as Paul Pogba had to stop training because of a suspected injury yesterday. Although, he will undergo a fitness test before the game, it will be unlikely that the Frenchman would start the game. Both Eric Bailly and Marouanne Fellaini are fit for the game, Jose Mourinho has confirmed this in his pre-match press conference. Bailly’s return will greatly please all the United supporters as the defence has been shaky for quite sometime now.
Man United’s expected 4-3-3 formation
United’s midfield three of Matic-Fellaini and McTominay are all good footballers but it is hard to see United play exciting football with them in the side. They will find it difficult against the hard pressing Liverpool side and we can expect Jose Mourinho to ask his players to hit the ball forward to Lukaku as often as possible.
This would be a big game for Alexis Sanchez who so far has been disappointing for United after his transfer from Arsenal. But with Martial and Pogba out, the Chilean will play in his favoured left wing position and he would be a threat on the counter against Liverpool’s defence.
