West Ham are interested in Arsenal midfielders Francis Coquelin and Mohamed Elneny according to a report in Sky Sports. Both the midfielders have found first team opportunities at the Emirates to be very limited this season as Wenger has preferred playing with two of Xhaka, Wilshere and Ramsey. Although they would be ensure first team football, whether any of them are interested to join a difficult situation at West Ham who are battling against relegation remains to be seen.
David Moyes is looking to reinforce his squad in January as he attempts to save the Hammers from relegation this season. A defensive midfielder will be a typical David Moyes’ signing as the Scott looks to solidify the spine of the team first and then later think about the attack. West Ham fans certainly won’t complain about the quality of football this season as long as they escape relegation.
Arsenal are reportedly in for a squad overhaul with the likes of Alexis Sanchez, Mesut Ozil, Theo Walcott set to leave the club either now in January or in the summer. Arsene Wenger’s future is also in doubt although he has a contract till the end of next season. If Arsenal fail to qualify for the Champions League again, there would be immense pressure on Wenger to resign.
