Arsenal face Manchester United this Saturday in a pivotal fixture in the English Premier League. Both the team recorded excellent victories in midweek with Arsenal beating Huddersfield 5-0 and United coming away from tough fixture against Watford with a 4-2 victory. Arsene Wenger had started the front three of Sanchez-Lacazette-Ozil against Spurs in the North London Derby and their performance clearly showed that all three of them can play together. But unfortunately for Arsenal, Alexander Lacazette is set to miss the game against United. Even Sanchez was initially doubtful but Wenger has confirmed that the Chilean should be fit enough to face Jose Mourinho’s side.
Arsenal’s starting lineup against Manchester United
Arsenal are expected to start with a 3-4-3 formation which has given them success recently. Alexis Sanchez is expected to start upfront will play as a False 9. Sanchez’s tendency to drift to the left means that whoever starts on the left should adapt accordingly and move into the space Sanchez has vacated. Danny Welbeck would have been the prefferred option as he can play both as a central striker and on the left but with his current fitness level, Wenger wouldn’t want to take such a risk in a big game. So Alex Iwobi is expected to start on the left. The rest of the team has a settled look and Wenger isn’t expected to surprise us with his selection in midfield or in defence.
