Arsenal face Huddersfield in the Premier League on Wednesday night at the Emirates with Wenger hoping that his team will continue their great home form with a 12th consecutive home victory. Arsenal have dislodged Spurs from the top 4 and are currently in 4th position much to the surprise of the footballing world. An emphatic victory over their bitter rivals in the North London derby has lifted spirits at Arsenal but they needed a controversial injury time penalty to win against Burnley last weekend.
Arsenal expected starting lineup against Huddersfield
Mesut Ozil missed out against Burnley due to illness but is back in training so is expected to start against Huddersfield. Wenger will hope that his team kills the game off early so that he can take off his key players to keep them fresh for the game against Manchester United on the weekend. Arsenal’s back three have been impressive in recent time especially Shkodran Mustafi who was rock solid against Tottenham. With Kolasinac and Bellerin, Arsenal have two excellent attacking full backs but their problem area remains central midfield where they have missed Santi Cazorla. It is unlikely that Cazorla will become his old self again considering the severity of his injury, so buying a central midfielder alongside replacing Sanchez and Ozil should be Wenger’s key priorities in the summer.
