According to the news outlet Express, PSG is looking to sign Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez in a cut price deal in January. The report also cites El Gol Digital and claims that Pep Guardiola is prepared to wait till the summer window when Sanchez can be signed for free as his contract with Arsenal expires. Arsenal might be willing to sell Sanchez to PSG in January as they ensure that they are not selling him to a direct Premier League rival and also the fact that they are not letting him go for free.

PSG already have a plethora of attacking options and Emery might struggle to fit him into the first team. Signing Sanchez surely means that Di Maria’s time in Paris is up and also throws a huge doubt over Julian Draxler’s career at PSG. Sanchez’s preferred position is on the left and this might mean Neymar is given a more central role closer to the goal. Neymar has played this role for Brazil and he can be convinced to play this role as this would give him a better chance at scoring more goals.

PSG 4-2-3-1 formation with Sanchez

This is certainly a lopsided formation with 4 attackers who contribute next to nothing defensively. All three of Neymar, Mbappe and Cavani are un-droppable at the moment so Emery would have a huge problem in the big European games in trying to maintain the balance of the side.
