After a week full of speculation about Ozil’s future and the prospect of him reuniting with Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford, we saw the German at his best at Everton and we also  at Huddersfield why United would be glad to have him. According to the Mirror, Ozil has already told his teammates that he will move to rivals Manchester United. Although it is unclear that whether the move will happen in January or in the summer, Arsenal would like to earn a fee rather than losing him free in the summer.

Some Manchester United fans felt that Ozil will be surplus to requirements at Old Trafford but the game against Huddersfield clearly showed that United could do with someone like Ozil. Without Paul Pogba, United struggle to be creative and their star summer signing Romelu Lukaku struggles to get himself involved in the game. A pure striker like Lukaku needs a number 10 to feed him the ball in dangerous positions and Manchester United at the moment don’t have one. Both Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Juan Mata have struggled to show any sort of a consistency in their Manchester United careers.
