Following a disastrous performance against Spurs at Wembley, Liverpool will look to get their season back on track with a victory against Huddersfield on Saturday. Jurgen Klopp who blamed the defence, particularly Dejan Lovren is expected to changes to his starting lineup. But the problem for Klopp is the lack of options to him especially in defence. Huddersfield won’t be an easy opposition especially after their stunning performance against Manchester United and Liverpool simply can’t afford to drop any more points.
Liverpool Starting Lineup against Huddersfield
Joe Gomez who has been impressive so far is expected to replace Dejan Lovren who will need a miracle to recover from his performance against Spurs. After suffering the humiliation of being substituted after just 31 minutes, Klopp humiliated him further in the post match press conference by claiming that he could have defended better than the Croatian. Simon Mignolet who has been given enough chances to cement his spot as Liverpool’s first choice goalkeeper is also expected to be dropped. But Loris Karius himself has not been able to settle in the Premier League, so a surprise selection for Danny Ward might not be out of question.
