Chelsea’s title defence got off to a disastrous start as they lost to Burnley at home which saw two off their players sent off. With rumours swirling around that Antonio Conte is not happy with the transfer window so far, there is a real danger that the Italian might not be at Stamford Bridge for long. Chelsea’s squad is severely weakened by injuries, transfers and now with bans to Fabregas and Cahill. With the addition of Champions League football this season, Chelsea desperately need to sign few players to get their squad balance right.

Steven N’Zonzi

N’Zonzi was in tremendous form last season for Sevilla and has been attracting the attention of Barcelona and Spurs this summer. N’Zonzi can control the tempo, win the ball and has already played in the Premier League, so all in all would be an excellent signing for Chelsea.

Danny Drinkwater

Drinkwater was crucial in Leicester’s title winning campaign and although he couldn’t replicate the same form last season, he is a proven Premier League midfielder who can do a solid job when called upon. Leicester’s title winning campaign was a shock which never might happen again but if you are one of those who would like to take a punt on them again, then bet with the bwin bonus.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain

The Arsenal winger has adjusted brilliantly to his new role as a wingback in Arsenal’s back three formation. He can play in multiple positions in Chelsea’s 3-4-3 formation, so will increase Chelsea’s squad depth.

Ross Barkley

Ross Barkley’s ability to shrug of defenders and power through reminds one of a younger Wayne Rooney. Although, he had a poor season last year, he still has the talent and is available. Signing Barkley will be a gamble but at such a late stage in the transfer window, Chelsea don’t have many options.
