Especially impressive were their wins against Manchester City and Real Madrid(Penalties) and Mourinho is looking to wrap up the tour with another good performance against Barcelona. Although, Mourinho has repeatedly claimed that he is not concerned with the results, secretly he must be happy with the way United has outplayed their opponents so far.

Although, we wont’ see much of the 4-1-4-1 formation during the season, Herrera’s injury and lack of a DM will force Mourinho to play this formation. Mourinho has made it clear that he is looking to sign a defensive midfielder and a winger before the transfer window shuts. Nemanja Matic is reportedly close to signing although nothing is confirmed yet. The Ivan Perisic deal on the other hand looks dead because of a mismatch in valuation of the player between Inter and United.
