Ander Herrera who was declared the man of the match in United’s 2-0 victory over Ajax in the Europa League final is reportedly the primary target of Barcelona in this transfer window.
Barcelona who have lost their midfield dominance this season will certainly look to buy a couple of midfielders this summer, but is Herrera the answer to their problems? Herrera has had a terrific season and his versatility is something you rarely find in modern midfielders. He can play as a number 10 or a 8 or a 6. This season he has made his mark as the deepest midfielder, breaking attacks, protecting his defence and occasionally starting out attacks.

Moving to Barcelona certainly is attractive to any Spaniard, but Herrera should realise that he might not start many games at the Camp Nou where as at Old Trafford, clearly he has established himself as first choice.
