Man United’s expected 4-2-3-1 lineup against Bournemouth: Forgotten star to play

1 minute

Manchester United will surely move up in the table if they win against Bournemouth courtesy of the game between Liverpool and Arsenal. United can’t afford to drop anymore points to weaker opposition especially at home with competition for the Champions League spots hotting up.

Jose Mourinho will put out his strongest lineup in an 4-2-3-1 formation which will see Paul Pogba and Ander Herrera playing as the double pivot. Another interesting news is that Jose Mourinho has confirmed that Luke Shaw will be part of the squad either in the first eleven or on the bench. Shaw has been criticized by Mourinho this season and it looks like finally the Englishman has done enough to impress his manager. Now it is up to him to grab his chance and cement his place in the starting lineup.

Another interesting point Mourinho talked about in the press conference that he wanted Rooney to stay beyond this season. Whether Rooney will accept a bit part role and stay at United is highly doubtful as he intends to lead England in the 2018 World Cup in Russia. But Mourinho mentioned that is likely that Rooney will be involved against Bournemouth.
