Chelsea’s official website in their preview of the FA Cup fixture against Manchester United on Monday have made fun of United’s unbeaten run in the Premier League. United have been unbeaten in the league since their defeat against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in October. This unbeaten run hasn’t helped United move up the table mainly because of their frequent draws at Old Trafford.
United will have travelled a long way from Russia to England after their taxing Europa League draw against Rostov. Chelsea on the other hand will be fresh and with all their players in good form. The blues are clear favorites in this tie and Conte will want to win the FA Cup now that the Premier League title is almost in their grasp. Mourinho’s last trip back to Stamford Bridge was a big disappointment as United were thrashed 4-0. He will want revenge but with United still in the Europa League and with tough games coming up in the League, the FA Cup wouldn’t be their highest priority at the moment.
