How understanding Football Strategy can make you win bets

By understanding how the different teams are playing you can actually make quite a good profit from betting on football. Today we have asked Robin Bylund, betting expert at BettingTips4you.com, an advice on how this can be done. He has provided a full case study on Liverpool.

Liverpool are one of the positive surprises during the season and with Jurgen Klopp celebrating a year in charge of The Reds, we’ve been looking on what his team normally offers and which ways you could go to earn a profit on ”the new Liverpool”.

Jürgen Klopp is celebrating one year in charge of Liverpool on October 9’th and with the big game against Manchester United coming up after the international break, he will also reach 38 Premier League games as a manager, making it a “full” season in charge.

So far so good, or could the Liverpool fans be asking for more?

To really answer that question we will have to break down Liverpool in their attack and defense. Offensively the new Liverpool is a joy to watch and the stats also confirms that feeling. Since Klopp arrived, The Reds have scored 73 goals (just a goal off scoring two per game) which is the best of all teams in the league looking back a year.

Liverpool is also the team with the highest possession percentage (58%) and they are creating chances like never before.

On the other hand, the back four and goalkeeper(s) still have more to prove if Liverpool is to take the final step and re-establish themselves in the top of the league.

Liverpool is yet to keep a clean sheet in the league this season and have just kept a total of 8 clean sheets from the 37 games Jürgen Klopp have been in control of.

We have to go back 5 months (!) to find Liverpools latest clean sheet in the league, which came to Watford at Anfield on May 8’th.

I’ve been making a fair share of money from betting on “Both Teams To Score” whenever Liverpool’s been involved this season and it wouldn’t surprise me if we see the same when The Reds goes head to head with arch rivals Manchester United in ten days.

All but one Premier League game so far this season have also involved at least three goals and we have three out of seven games where we’ve seen even a 5+ total of goals scored.

Liverpool under Jürgen Klopp is a team that scores and a team that concedes. It’s all out attack and a crossing of fingers that the goals scored will be enough to cover eventual mistakes.

Step two for Liverpool will be to solve that defensive mess and the red part of Merseyside is of course hoping for Loris Karius to play his part in strengthen that part of the team as soon as he really gets it going and adopts to the physical level of Premier League.

But until then? Bet for goals in both directions as soon as you see Liverpool in the fixture list!
