Zinedine Zidane has admitted that Real Madrid could have signed Paul Pogba when he was speaking on a French radio show. Manchester United broke the transfer record and beat the Madrid club to the signing of Pogba.this might signal a shift in the power scales. Although, United have been poor on the field, a stronger Premier League and rising commercial revenues have ensured that the club can compete for transfer at the highest level.

On the football pitch however, all is not well. United’s start under Mourinho hasn’t been smooth, Pogba’s form has been disastrous except for a 45 minutes against Leicester. One major factor in the Frenchman’s form is Mourinho’s reluctance to play a 4-3-3 formation. Pogba has been doing better with Herrera beside him and covering for him. But there is a lot to improve and he needs it do it fast as next up are a rampant Jurgen Klopp machine. Liverpool are in stunning form and their football has been breathless at time. Mourinho should be mindful of the suffocating Liverpool press and adapt his team appropriately and not try to fit in all the stars in a 4-2-3-1.
