According to The Express, Manchester United are facing their first injury crisis under new manager Jose Mourinho ahead of one of the biggest Manchester derbies in recent memory. This biggest problem Mourinho will face is in defence where both the first choice full backs are doubtful to start the game on Saturday.

Antonio Valencia will only return on Friday from international duty which throws a major question onto Mourinho on whether he will risk the Ecuadorean or not. Luke Shaw on the other hand was withdrawn from the England squad because of a minor injury. It is still not clear whether the left back will be fit in time or not. Marcos Rojo also is reaching Manchester on Friday, so will not be expected to take part in the Derby.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan is another player who was injured on international duty. Although the initial reports say that, the Armenian will be out for a week, it remains to be seen whether he will be included in the squad against Manchester City.
