According to the Daily Star , Manchester United have been offered Real’s star James Rodriguez. Although United will break the Premier League transfer record if they buy him, the price Real want for the Colombian is less than what they paid for him to Monaco. Real want £60 million from Manchester United for Rodriguez where as they paid £63 million for him when they signed him after the 2014 World Cup from Monaco.

Rodriguez has lost his starting place at Real Madrid and coach Zinedine Zidane doesn’t seem to trust him. With Zidane set to stay at Real at least for the next season, Rodriguez either needs a dramatic change in fortune or needs to find himself a new club. There are very few clubs in world football which can afford him at the moment. Manchester United certainly can afford him but lack of Champions League football and the uncertainty over the manager position may deter the Colombian from making the move to Manchester.
