Manchester United go into their final game knowing that unless Manchester City lose against Swansea,United have no chance of qualifying for the Champions League. Also, Swansea has decided to rest several of its key players in preparation for the Euros which makes the task easier for Manchester City.
Manchester United’s expected starting lineup against Bournemouth
According to the Manchester Evening News , Van Gaal has included Ashley Young and Varela in the matchday squad. Ashley Young has made a comeback after sometime to the matchday squad. Argentine defender Marcus Rojo, on the other hand has been left out. Rojo has been poor for United and his lapses in concentration have caused United’s defence a lot of problems. Slotting in Timothy Fosu-Mensah in defence alongside with Chris Smalling so that Daley Blind can play at Left Back is one solution. Blind had a torrid time at West Ham making mistakes in lead up to all the three goals.
Morgan Schneiderlin another player who played poorly against West Ham is not expected to start and Michael Carrick who might be playing his last game at Old Trafford will replace him. Carrick so far has not been given a contract extension might leave Old Trafford after his contract expires this summer.
