Manchester United have the chance to close the gap to fourth place after Manchester City could only draw with Newcastle. For United, Champions League qualification and a FA Cup win will represent a massive turnaround in success after a depressing season which has seen them score the same number of goals as Sunderland. Van Gaal has a chance to go out in good terms if United manage to finish in the top 4 which will make the job a lot easier for the next manager.

After Wayne Rooney’s return to the starting lineup, this is the first time he will have a chance to teamup with both Martial and Rashford together. Rashford’s rise has made him undroppable so Martial starts on the left and Rooney as usual operates in the number 10 position. It will be interesting to see the chemistry between the England captain and two of United’s best young talents. This matchup is also likely to repeat in the FA cup final as both the teams are favourites to progress to final.
