All eyes will be on Leicester’s visit to Old Trafford as the Foxes need just 3 points more to win the Premier League. Surely this will be the greatest underdog story in the history of the Premier League. Manchester United on the other hand need 3 points to stay in touch with Manchester City and Arsenal in the battle for the Champions League spots. The front three of Martial, Rashford and Lingard have been constant for United for sometime now and Van Gaal isn’t expected to change that now. There are doubts still on Lingard’s ability at this level but Van Gaal seems to have his trust in him.
Ander Herrera after his injury time assist in the FA Cup semifinal should start alongside Manchester United captain Wayne Rooney in midfield. Rooney for all his abilities is not Paul Scholes and even though he had a good half an hour against Everton in midfield will struggle against better sides. Rooney’ first touch, close control and his positional awareness work against him in playing a midfield role. Lot of work has to be put by the England captain on the training ground to succesfully move to a deeper role now.
