Belgian international Divock Origi has been ruled out for the season due to ligament damage which the striker suffered during the victory against Everton. Origi has been in stunning form recently scoring in both the legs against Dortmund and helping Liverpool record one of their most stunning comeback against the German side. The exact return date isn’t still confirmed as the Belgian is set for another scan.

Liverpool don’t expect the striker to be back this season but there is still hope that he would be fit for the Euro Championships. This might actually give Christian Benteke an opportunity to show his prowess to Klopp and cement his place in the Belgium national squad. Origi has hit 5 goals in the last 5 games and it looked like Liverpool finally had an able backup to the injury prone Daniel Sturridge. Liverpool don’t have much hope in qualifying for the Champions League through the Premier League but are just three victories away from winning the Europa League which gives them a berth in nest year’s Champions League.
