Daily Mail reports that Chelsea starlet Domingos Quina is on the verge of joining Arsenal this week. The talented teenager was courted by a host of Premier League clubs including Liverpool and Manchester United, but it looks like Arsenal have won the race. Apparently the teenager grew frustrated at Chelsea with the lack of opportunities offered to the young players and decided that he won’t sign his first contract there. Arsenal with its long history of giving chances to young players would have found it easy to convince the Portuguese teenager.

Manchester United in a similar case lost Paul Pogba to Juventus and look how Pogba turned out to be. With agents and agencies dominating football these days, clubs need to be extra careful with their young stars. Young players are easier to manipulate and often agents encourage them to move to newer clubs for money rather than for the player’s career. In Pogba’s case it turned out well, as Juventus offered him first team opportunities which Pogba grabbed and proved his talent. But there are so many youngsters out there who advised by their money grabbing agents, make wrong career moves at the wrong time.
