Wayne Rooney couldn’t resist a dig at Arsenal fan Piers Morgan after the 3-2 victory at Old Trafford which Rooney himself missed because of injury.
@piersmorgan hi

Rooney’s simple tweet to Piers after the victory almost broke Twitter as it was retweeted over 40k times and Rooney’s former teammate Gerard Pique himself was one among those.
Piers Morgan as usual after an Arsenal defeat ranted about how Arsene Wenger should be sacked and Arsenal are never going to win anything with the Frenchman at helm.

Beaten by a bunch of kids.
Who will Wenger blame now?
How about the one person most responsible for this team: himself. #afc— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) February 28, 2016
My God, please tell me this wasn’t his latest excuse???? https://t.co/m6ldC0CDft

Wenger’s finally run out of excuses.
He has nobody left to blame.
It’s over.
He knows….
Arsene knows. #afc— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) February 28, 2016
For Arsene Wenger, this was one of the most disappointing results this season against a very weak United side. Arsenal were poor and their defence was atrociously slow in reacting to any sort of movement by the United players. Van Gaal on the other hand will enjoy this as the Dutchman this season has had rarely any moments to rejoice. Leicester and Spurs will be quite pleased this weekend after winning their respective games. The North London derby next weekend will be one of the biggest games of the season and a defeat for Arsenal would only increase the calls for Wenger to leave Arsenal.
